Position Description We are seeking a skilled Technical Writer to join our dynamic team focused on developing cutting-edge bioinformatics software solutions. As a Technical Writer, you will be responsible for creating clear, concise, and accurate documentation that effectively communicates complex technical information to various stakeholders, including software developers, end-users, and regulatory authorities. Your primary goal will be to ensure that our software documentation meets the highest standards of quality, usability, and compliance. As Techincal Writer you will: - Collaborate closely with software developers, product managers, and subject matter experts to understand the functionality and features of our bioinformatics software products. - Plan, research, write, edit, and review technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, release notes, API documentation, and online help systems. - Translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand, user-friendly language appropriate for the target audience. - Ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of all technical documentation, adhering to established style guides and documentation standards. - Conduct thorough reviews and revisions of existing documentation to improve clarity, organization, and overall quality. - Keep abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in biomedical software development and documentation. - Position Requirements Mandatory: - Bachelor's degree in English, Technical Communication, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Advanced degree or certification in technical writing is a plus. - Proven experience as a technical writer, preferably in the bioinformatics software or healthcare industry. - Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy. - Strong understanding of software development processes, including Agile methodologies and version control systems. - Familiarity with bioinformatic concepts, terminology, and regulatory requirements is highly desirable. - Proficiency in documentation tools such as MadCap Flare, Adobe FrameMaker, Microsoft Word and Confluence. Preferred: - Experience with documenting cloud-based software applications and RESTful APIs. - Knowledge of markup languages such as HTML, XML, and Markdown. - Familiarity with graphics tools for creating diagrams and illustrations (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Visio, Figma). Personal Requirements - Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. - Advanced English level.
